Cyclamen persicum
( Florists Cyclamen )
| The rounded, heart-shaped leaves range from 1 inch to 6 inch long, and are often dark green, mottled or marbled with grey. Leaves grow basally and die back during the 2-3 month dormant period. Flowers to 1 inch long with five fully recurved (bent back) petals grow singly atop stems. Colors are pinks, purples and whites. Many people simply throw them away when they die back. Avoid watering the leaves and crown of the plant. |
| Important Info : Reduce water as leaves are dying (just after flowering), and keep dry and cool while dormant |
