| Clematis macropetala 'Floralia' is a deciduous climber that belongs to AHS group 1. 4 inch wide flowers are borne on last year's growth from spring through early summer. Although the flowers look semi-double, they are solitary with 4 lengthy sepals and reduced petaloid stamens in the interior. Reblooming occasionally occurs in late summer. Blooms are followed by silver, woolly seed heads. Leaves are 4 to 6 inches long and divided into 3 oblong or lance-shaped leaflets. C. macropetala and its cultivars are excellent for trellises and fences. Native to Siberia, Mongolia, and China. |
