| The cultivar, 'Chimaya' is a tasty, medium hot 4-5 inch peppers good for stringing into ristras. From the farming town of Chimayo in northern New Mexico. Great container or border plant.
C. annuum seeds should be started indoors 8-10 weeks before last frost. Sow the seeds in sandy soil and give them warmth. Transplant 12-16 inches apart. To keep compact, pinch leaves on young plants. Full sun and monthly fertilizer treatment produces best growth and fruiting results. |
