| Abies concolor is a slow to medium growing fir with blue-green leaves pointing upward and forward along the shoot. The 3- to 5-inch cones are greenish-purple when young, turning brown. Reaches heights up to 130 feet. 'Green Globe' is conical in shape, contrary to its name. It has densely arranged, flat, blunt needles that are short and blue to green in color. This plant enjoys plenty of sun, cooler climates and acidic soil. |
