| This is a much-branched, evergreen shrub that grows up to 6 feet tall and wide. Leaves are ovate to lanceolate, smooth, medium to dark green, up to 4 inches long, and with wavy margins. Summer to fall borne flowers are saucer-shaped, light to dark purplish-blue with lighter blue or yellow centers, to 1 inch wide, and held in axillary corymbs up to 2 1/2 inches wide. Fruit is round and red to 1 inch long. Native to Argentina and Paruguay. Protect from frost. |
