| Large white flowers, 15 tepals. Blooms at an early age. Can reach 30 feet with low branches and good form. Registered 1952. Large shrubs or small trees, with pink or white flowers, 11-16 narrow tepals. It is a hybrid that is not found in the wild. Introduced into cultivation 1923 by Loebner. Flower color ranges from white to pink, 4-6 inches across. Blooming time is between March and May, fruiting August to September. Growth habit varies from single stem trees of 25 feet tall to multi-stemmed shrubs. Easily propagated from cuttings, flowering at an early age. |
| Important Info : Magnolias in this group are crosses between M. kobus var. kobus and M. kobus var. stellata, resulting in plants intermediate between the two parents. |
