| The Bobbinks and Atkins Macrantha Hybrids, introduced in the 1940s in New Jersey, are hybrids of R. indicum crossed with Kurume or Kaempferi Hybrid azaleas. They are dense, upright evergreen shrubs, medium in height. Though azaleas have a potentially large list of possible pest and disease problems, they are usually trouble free if planted correctly in proper cultural conditions. |
