| This is a widely columnar deciduous tree grown for its ornamental leaves and great red or yellow fall color. Grows to 70 feet tall and spreads 40 feet. Leaves are deep green, pinnate, to 8 inches long, with up to 21 slender, oblong leaflets. White flowers are borne in pyramidal corymbs to 4 inches across, followed by spherical, yellowish-green berries. This hardy tree can tolerate heat or cold, strong winds and low humidity. Must have good drainage. Canker and fire blight may be a problem with this plant. |
