|D. hybrida grow from fleshy roots, not true tubers or bulbs in stiff stems producing round flowers in various colors from midsummer to the first frost. Tall types may need staking and for bushier plants, pinch off the tip of the main stem as soon as three or four leaves appear. The cultivar 'Jersey Beauty' (or 'Jersey's Beauty') blooms in large 6 to 10 inch pink flowers from summer until the first frost, on 5 foot stems.
Important Info : Prone to rot, spots, and mildews.
