| Fruticans, also known as Shrubby germander or tree germander, is a bushy, evergreen shrub with oval to lance-shaped, gray-green leaves, to 3/4 inch long, with white-woolly underneath. Whorls of pale blue flowers are produced with termainl racemees. May be cut to within 2 inches of ground level in the spring to maintain compact growth habit. Excellent as a low hedge. Does best in moist, well drained soil and full sun. Makes nice clipped low hedge in herb garden. |
