| Deciduous tree, may reach 60 feet tall with a 20 inch diameter of trunk. Bark is furrowed, light brown to gray. Twigs can be reddish brown to gray, buds are covered with silky yellow hairs. Leaves are elliptic, 2 to 8 inches long and smooth, green. Flowers are cup-shaped, slightly fragrant, 2 to 4 inches across and yellow to yellow-green with bluish purple tinge. Fruits are pinkish red and ornamental. A hybrid between M. acuminata and M. x brooklynensis 'Evamaria'. |
