| M. x wagneri, (M. aquifolium x M. pinnata), is an upright shrub with leaves to 8 inches long and 7 to 11 egg shaped, dull to dark green leaves. In the spring, yellow flowers bloom in thick racemes to 3 inches long, followed by white-frosted, blue black berries. The cultivar, 'Pinnacle' syn. M. pinnata of gardens, is taller and more upright than the species with leaves of bronze maturing to bright green. |
