|Primula amoena is a deciduous perennial with elliptic to spoon-shaped leaves, to 7 inches long, brilliant green on top, densely hairy below. Hairy stalks bear one-sided umbels of 6 to 10 flat to shallowly tubular, red-purple, violet-blue, or sometimes white flowers, 1 inch wide, with yellow eyes. Bloomtime is early in the season. Prefers partial shade in humus-rich soil, or grow under glass in an alpine house or frame. 6 inches tall and wide.
