|An evergreen, epiphytic orchid, with 2 dark green, narrow leaves, 4 to 12 inches long. In spring, produces arching racemes of bright orange, bell-shaped flowers, 1 inch long. Use the smallest possible container, with epiphytic orchid potting soil, or grow epiphytically. High humidy and good ventilation recommended, along with bright, filtered light in summer. Water well during growth period; allow to dry between waterings in winter. Grows at high altitudes in Central and South America.
