| Erect stems support azalea-type flowers and strap-like green foliage. Lily-like flower clusters, in shades of coral, pink, lavender, and purple, appear in spring and may bloom up to 6 months. Remove spent flowers to prolong bloom season on evergreen hybrids. This perennial may be planted any time of year from a gallon container, but is slow to re-establish when transplanted. Keep roots cool by mulching well and planting in moist, sandy location. Wonderful in containers or borders. Good cut flower. |
