|Spiraea bullata is an extremely low growing shrub, almost a groundcover. Leaves are thick, coarsely toothed, dark bluish green above, gray-green below. Deep rosy-pink flowers appear in mid summer on dense 2-3 inch corymbs. Can be useful in the rock garden, groundcover or as a dwarf shrub in a small garden. Does better in colder areas, otherwise aphids can be a major problem. Native to Japan.
