| O.laciniata is an erect annual or short-lived perennial producing cup shaped, red edged yellow primroses 1/2 to 1 1/4 inches across. It opens in the evening. Stems are green or red flushed and hold deeply lobed mid-green leaves 1 1/2-6 inches long. Best planted in spring among other full sun plants. You should divide the clumps every 3 years to encourage flowering. Evening Primroses are excellent perennials for weekend gardeners, since they are simple to grow, with almost no pests or problems. |
