| Populus tremula 'Erecta' is a narrow, upright aspen, native to the forests of Sweden. In some areas of the country it may be a good substitute for the ever popular Lombardy Poplar. It shows good resistance to various cankers, but can be subject to leaf spot. May be best suited to colder climates. Flowers are borne on catkins. The species is native to Europe, Asia, Siberia and northern Africa. |
