|A fast growing, upright, deciduous tree, with red winter shoots, the older ones golden brown. Leaves are bright green, lance-shaped, and somewhat curled. Bears yellow-green catkins. The shoots of this tree are often used in dried arrangements. Can grow up to 30' tall and 15'-20' wide and is more tolerant of drought than most willows. A very striking tree, especially in winter, so give it a prominent place in the garden.
