| Latifolia is a spreading, clump-forming perennial with short rhizomes, upright to arching, hairy stems. Leaves are widely ovate-oblond, veined, glossy and mid-green in color. Produces upward-facing, trumpet then star-shaped yellow flowers. In general, Tricyrtis is a woodland perennial resembling false Solomon's Seal in foliage. Flowers are somewhat orchid-like, spotted, 1 inch wide, blooming in late summer or early fall. Flowers bloom at leaf bases and in terminal clusters. They need rich organic soil, and a moist woodland environment. |
