| This is a dense, twiggy, mounding, evergreen shrub with small, oval, olive green leaves. China Seas has funnel-shaped, pink flowers. Growth is upright. Resembles Kurumes but tends to have larger flowers.
Best adapted to partial sun and well-drained, acid soil. Beautiful planted in generous, solid colored drifts along egde of woods. Best if not sheared. Plant as you would any azalea: high and in well-drained, acid soil, rich in organic matter.
Though azaleas have a potentially large list of possible pest and disease problems, they are usually trouble free if planted correctly in proper cultural conditions. |
