| Bulbous herbaceous perennial native to South Africa. Fragrant white, cream or greenish yellow flowers are oblong-cylindrical-shaped. Usually bears only one to two mid-green strap-like leaves, sometimes with a pretty brown mottled pattern. Can be planted in the border in warm climates, or in containers. Frost tender, requiring minimum temperatures of 36 to 39F. Prefer sunny location and light, well drained soil. Best planted in autumn. Water well during the growing season, sparsely the rest of the year. |
