| An evergreen tree or shrub 50 to 65 feet tall. Young branchlets are covered in a white or yellowish tomentum. Leaves are 8 to 10 inches long, papery and smooth. Fragrant flowers are yellowish white. Native to dense forested lands in southeast Asia, 2500 to 5000 feet elevation, from Penang and Perak to Singapore, and Sarawak. |
