| Large evergreen tree reaching 75 feet. Branchlets are covered densely with fine hairs, becoming smooth with age. Leaves have a papery texture with fine hairs when young. Flowers are creamy yellow and fragrant. Blooms near the vernal equinox.
Native to forests and jungles of Sumatra at 4000-5600 feet elevation. Closely related to M. macklottii. |
