| 'Oneida' is a deciduous shrub and was selected for the abundance of flowers in May and sporadic flowers throughout the summer; the glossy, abundant dark red fruit that stays until late winter;and the textured foliage that is thin, turns pale yellow and orange-red in autumn; and the upright and wide spreading branches. The original plant has grown to a height of 10 feet and width of 9 1/2 feet.
Prefers moist, well drained, acid soil. Excellent all purpose shrub for the border, as a specimen, or for mass plantings. Not troubled by pests, native to Asia. |
