| A clump-forming perennial with long, gray-green, lance-shaped leaves. Red, hairy stems produce racemes of yellow-green flowers with reflexed lobes changing to dark green with lime green hairs outside and red, yellow or apricot hairs at the bases. The flowers are said to resemble a kangaroo paw. Water lightly in the winter, prefers a mix with lots of peat moss and some sand. Can be outdoors in the summer or warm climates. |
