| G. nanus blooms from white through cream, blush pink to scarlet from May to June. Gladiolus are grown for their flowers that bloom on spikes 2 to 3 feet tall. The flowers being arranged along the spike all face the same way. Their leaves are formed in a sharp point and takes its name from the Latin gladius, meaning a sword. The cultivar, 'Amanda Mahy' is a large, refind flowwm of brilliant orange-scarlet. |
