| Veronica prostrata is a low growing Speedwell, forming mats of hairy foliage with small leaves and hirsute stems. 'Heavenly Blue' is lies flat on the ground and bears brilliant blue flowers in the springtime.
Some varieties may reach 8 inches or more in a mounded form. Tiny flowers are in clusters, blooming in late spring or early summer. Colors range from white and pink, to blue. It has moderate water requirements. Mat forming Veronicas do not tolerate damp conditions as well as the bushier types. |
