| Deciduous climber growing to 20 feet or more with coarse, deeply lobed leaves. Umbel-like clusters of insignificant green flowers are produces in spring, followed by small, tart green berries in early fall. Produces good summer shade for arbors or decks. Somewhat drought tolerant when established. Varieties with interesting foliage textures or color are available. Vitis vinifera is the main ancestor of most European wine grapes. |
