| Clematis montana 'Elizabeth' is a vigorous, deciduous climber and belongs to AHS group 1. 3 inch wide solitary flowers, which are sometimes held in cymes, are freely borne on last year's shoots from late spring to early summer. Leaves have a purple tinge and are divided into 3 to 5 toothed, lance-shaped or widely oblong leaflets, up to 5 inches long. C. montana 'Elizabeth' is very hardy and is highly suitable for sites which are cold and exposed. Native to the Himalayas, Western & Central China. |
