| Cercis canadensis var. alba is a deciduous, spreading tree. Young leaves are bronzy, maturing dark green, up to 4 inches long.
C. canadensis has heart-shaped foliage and small, white, pea-shaped blooms.Foliage turns a lovely yellow in fall. In early spring clusters of small, 1/2 inch long flowers provide a wonderful display before the emergence of the leaves. The blooms are followed by flat pods. Native to North America. |
