| Excellent ground cover for shady areas, this mat-forming evergreen perennial has wiry red stems and small, 5-lobed, light green leaves. Reaches only 1 to 2 inches tall, but spreads up to 12 inches. Flowers are tiny and greenish-yellow and hidden under the foliage. They look like the flowers on alpina, but there aren't as many. Blooms in summer. Dew and water droplets adhere to leaf surface giving fresh look to the border. |
