| Springtime, crimson-red flower clusters on slender green stems. Appearance is much like sweet-pea flowering. In winter, plant has broom-like tufts of green which are quite attractive. Does well with poor soil which is well-drained. Full sun produces best growth and flowering results. Hot and dry locales are ideal. Needs no fertilization whatsoever. Plant is drought tolerant once established. To encourage compact growth, shorten stems by half after blooming. |
