| Arctostaphylos are found in a great range of surroundings from coastal scrub, mountains and pine forests. Some forms make good groundcover while the upright varieties work well in open areas.
Flowers are urn-shaped from 1/8 to 1/4 inch long and grow on terminal racemes or panicles followed by small spherical fruit 1/4 to 1/2 inch. Leaves are alternate, simple, toothed or entire. |
