| Named for its red to purple blooms with orange eyes. Spreading deciduous shrub grown for its long clusters of fragrant flowers throughout the summer. Panicles up to 1 foot long of dense fragrant flowers. Graceful, arching branches bear dark green leaves to 10 feet long. Reaches 10 feet tall to 15 feet wide. Ideal for attracting butterflies. Combines well with other perennials, especially daylilies and shasta daisies. This is one plant that thrives on severe pruning. |
