| Vinca major is a very similar plant to V.minor, but is larger, averaging 12 to 18 inches high. It is a prostrate, evergreen, spreading, ground cover plant. Flowers are lilac-blue, 1 inch wide, bloom well in full sun, and after the main midspring blooming, they continue to flower sporadically over the growing season. Prefer moist , well drained soil and shade. Not very heat tolerant. An excellent groundcover, with several cultivars available. Native to Europe and western Asia. |
