| Abies concolor is a slow to medium growing fir with blue-green leaves pointing upward and forward along the shoot. The 3- to 5-inch cones are greenish-purple when young, turning brown. Reaches heights up to 130 feet. 'Masonic Broom' is a dwarf tree and is irregularly shaped, but roughly round. It has flat, blunt needles that are congested on tiered, horizontal branches. This plant enjoys plenty of sun, cooler climates and acidic soil. |
