| An evergreen tree magnolia, reaching 50 feet tall. The bark is a smooth dark gray, the branches are covered with fine yellow hairs. Foliage is smooth on both sides. Creamy white flowers are fragrant, about 2 inches across. Native to Barahona Province in the Dominican Republic. Found on limestone outcrops in the wet cloud forests, at 4400 feet. Known locally as 'Caimoni'. |
