| This bulbous perennial produces 4-6 umbels of funnel shaped, undulating, bright red flowers 2 to 2 1/2 inches long with long reflexed, wavy-margined tepals. Semi-erect leaves of dark green bear following the flowers. An old fashioned favorite, Lycoris, fondly called Naked Ladies, refers to the fact that these bulbous perennials flower in late summer or early fall after their leaves have disappeared.
