| In early summer, the species cacaliifolia blooms into deep blue flowers to 3/4 inches long that are slightly hairy. This erect perennial has triangular mid-green leaves to 4 inches long. Salvia can be planted in a sunny border, in a meadow or used for bedding and containers. They grow best in light, moderately fertile, humus rich moist but well-drained soil in full sun to light shade. |
