| This genus consists of about 30 or more species, the majority of which are native to the Caribbean and Florida dunes. They are domestically used mainly as houseplants. Rarely found in clumps, these plants are single trunked and with grey-green fronds and white flowers. If grown outdoors, do so in alkaline soils. |
