| This is a Kabschia (a subsection of Porhpyrion, which is one of the 5 saxifrage sections) saxifrage with dense rosettes of lance-shaped, grayish-green to silvery-green leaves, 1/8 to 1/2 inch long. After a couple years it produces yellow, cup-shaped, 1/2 inch wide flowers, which are either single or held in cymes of 2 to 3 blooms. This is an excellent plant for the rock garden in moist, well-drained, alkaline soil of moderate fertility. |
