| Maianthemum dilantum bears shiny, heart-shaped, dark green leaves, 2 to 4 inches long, which unfurl from the stem alternately. From April to June, produces slender spikes of white, waxy flowers in a clustered tassel at the end of a stem, 4 to 10 inches long. In summer, flowers are replaced by green berries, turning transparent red. Good for damp, woodland plantings. |
