|S. clevelandii blooms in late summer into white, blue or violet flowers 1/2 inch long with branched spikes. This dwarf perennial has a rounded growing habit with ovate or oblong wrinkled aromatic mid-green leaves about 1 inch long. Salvia can be planted in a sunny border, in a meadow or used for bedding and container planting. They grow best in light moderately fertile, humus, moist but well-drained soil in full sun to light shade.
