|This an upright pyrimidal, deciduous tree with star-shaped leaves and corky-winged branches. They have 5-7 lobes and appear either alternate or palmate and medium green and glossy, turning to striking rose reds. Leaves are followed by mace-like fruit clusters. Plant in full sun for best fall colors. Many homeowners will object to the gum balls so consider the cultivar 'Rotundiloba' which is fruitless.
