| I. macrocephala of gardens (see royleana) is an
upright clump forming perennial. Grows flowerheads
on hairy green leaves 10 inches long. Produces
single large daisy-like orange-yellow flower with
many narrow ray flowers around a central disk.
They prefer full sun, well drained soil and are
cold hardy. Moisture needs vary depending upon
species. Propagate by seed, or by dividing in
