This perennial, a subshrub has egg-shaped, scalloped green leaves 4 inches long with heart shaped bases. Salvia can be planted in a sunny border, in a meadow or used for bedding and container planting. They grow best in light moderately fertile, humus soil moist but well drained in full sun to light shade. |
