| This showy and dependable edging plant is categorized as a perennial. A spreading, hairy, shrubby and rhizomatous perennial. Stems are-tinted and arch with lance-shaped finely toothed light green leaves to 3 inches long. Bears semi-pendent, tubular, 2-lipped, orange red flowers ( 1 1/2 inch long) from summer to frost. Will live through the winter in mild areas. Be patient with sown seeds as it can take up to 2 months for them to become transplanting size. Prefers moist, rich soil and will continue to self-sow once established. |
