| Erythronium dens-canis is a member of the lily family, with small corms that produce very dainty, nodding, lily-shaped flowers on 6 inch long stems. Spring blooming in purple, pink or white.
The foliage is a basal rosette of green leaves with a distinctive purplish-brown mottled pattern. They require some winter freeze. Plant the corms 2 to 3 inches deep as soon as received and do not let them dry out. They require some shade so plant under trees, in rock garden or by streams. |
