|Viburnum x pragense is a hybrid between V. rhytidophyllum and V. utile. It is evergreen, with glossy, dark green, 2 to 4 inch elliptic leaves growing to a height of 10 feet. Pink buds open to creamy-white, delicately fragrant flowers on 3 to 6 inch wide cymes, mid to late spring.
It is extremely hardy, surviving tests in the midwest, but can get leaf burn. Fast growing shrub, requires pruning to keep it dense, good for screening, group plantings or as an accent. Hardier than both parents.
